Christian Reformed World Missions

Winnie is a teacher at the Christian Academy in Japan, a school for the children of evangelical missionaries in Japan.  The vision of CAJ is to equip students for a life of loving, obedient response to God and of care for and restoration of His creation.  CAJ was established in 1950 and has an enrollment of almost 500 students in grades K through 12.  Located in the suburbs of Tokyo, the school’s curriculum is taught in English to students that come from more than 25 countries.

In Japan, Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM) focuses on increasing capacity for mission through leadership development. CRWM also partners with other agencies, especially World Renew, to carry out ministries in response to the Great  Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011.

The Reformed Church in Japan (RCJ) was begun in 1946 by Japanese believers who had remained faithful to their creed and Lord even while experiencing great persecution during the Pacific War. Though small in numbers, the RCJ is a strong and mature church. However, because the unfinished work of reaching the multitudes of those who don’t yet know Jesus Christ is so immense, the RCJ regularly requests that the CRCNA continue to partner with them in this great task
